Oreo Delights

Oreo cookies, chocolate sauce and some whipped cream

“This is a delightfully easy and yummy bite size dessert. No whipping for hours, no oven required, it just needs refrigeration and they’re all ready to be gobbled up!

Sweet isn’t it!!

Ingredients (Makes 12 little tarts) 

24 pcs Oreo cookies

a little Vanilla essence

4 tb melted Butter

A cupcake tray (I used the mini cupcake tin)

Chocolate sauce (or ready (thick) store bought chocolate sauce)

½ cup Heavy cream

170 gm Chocolate

Sugar Syrup

1/2 cup Water

1½ cup Sugar


There are two ways to do this….

You can choose to remove the cream from the cookie and then crush them (I chose this method :)) or

You can crush them along with the cream.


Put the 24 oreo cookies into a zip lock and crush them into crumbs, alternatively you can use a food processor and churn them into a fine powder. Add the melted butter and mix it well.


Use the cupcake tray, spoon the oreo mixture in each of them and press them down with your fingers to make a crust (tart like).


Freeze the tray for 1.5- 2 hrs.


In the meanwhile, take a saucepan, add water and sugar and put it on medium heat (no stirring!!) until it turns brownish in color.


Once its brown, take it off the heat and slowly add heavy cream and vanilla essence and keep stirring till it thickens.


Pour this mix over the cookie crust/ tart and keep it aside till it firms (if you’ve removed the cream from the cookies before crushing them, you can make small round flat balls of the cream and place them into the crushed cookie crust before pouring the thick brown sauce).


Heat the heavy cream and chocolate pieces in a microwave, remove and stir it till the chocolate thickens and you have a chocolate sauce.

Or you can use the readymade store bought thick chocolate sauce if you prefer using this.


Freeze it for another 30- 60 minutes.


Sprinkle some chocolate shavings, sprinkles or enjoy it as it is!!
